DOCTORS ALLIANCE & OTHER COMMITTEES By becoming more informed and involved, you can be part of the solution and success in addressing the issues that affect you at work and that affect doctors in general. In the months ahead, Doctors Council will be seeking to form the following committees. Internally from our membership the goal is to have some of our Representatives be part of these committees. If you would like to become a Representative of Doctors Council or be a part of one or more of these committees, please contact us at info@doctorscouncil.com or call us at 212-532-7690. Doctors Alliance: A committee of doctors that belong to Doctors Council and that will be open to any doctor or community member interested in the health care and medical issues that affect them and their communities. We will meet to discuss and analyze how to address these issues both at work and in the communities. Patient Care Committee: This is a worksite related committee that is part of our contracts at work. This committee meets with administration and management to discuss and review patient care issues such as staffing, case/work load and equipment and machinery. Learn more about our PATIENT CARE COMMITTEES. Organizing Committee: This will formulate and actively support programs to recruit doctors into Doctors Council. The more doctors that belong to Doctors Council, the stronger we will be both at work and in the legislative and political arena. Legislative/Political Committee: This will assist our House of Delegates in carrying out a program of political education and action and will encourage members to register and vote. The committee will define, investigate and recommend legislation of interest to the members and will also make recommendations on endorsement of candidates for elective offices and positions regarding ballot measures of interest to the members. Communications Committee: This will assist in communications and publications to the membership and with public relations for our union. Health and Safety Committee: This will assist in protecting the health and safety of our members. Retired and Senior Members Committee: This will assist our House of Delegates in developing a program for our retired and senior members. |
